craftsman + artist

LeFort draws from a life spent on the water, a meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional craftsmanship- manipulating wood into minimalist, fluid forms that evoke a sense of movement through line, curve, and shadow.

A competitive yachtsman throughout his youth, LeFort continued sailing through university, where he also discovered sculpture and furniture-making.

This newfound interest led LeFort to the International School of Yacht Restoration, where he learned to build traditional wooden boats, honing his professional skills as a woodworker.

After 15 years in the marine industry, LeFort was called to further pursue his interest in visual arts. He completed his MFA at California College of the Arts in 2022. It was here that he honed his skills as master craftsman to create his fine art.

LeFort currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
